I decided to make another quick card for the current Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge. I have used the colours from the photo below for my inspiration and incorporated the woodgrain in my grass.

The kangaroo (love seeing an Ausie image) and the sentiment both come from the set 'A Little Lovin' and I have used my favourite gingham paper - LOVE! The dotted lines are hand drawn.

If you haven't joined in with this challenge yet, you still have a couple of days to do so... we would love to see your entries :)

A New Stamp

I bought this 'Mademoiselle Noel' stamp from Penny Black after Christmas last year and finally got around to inking it up. It is such a cool stamp and I really need to get some more from this 'series'.

I saw this card on Mariana's blog and wanted to try this technique.  I stamped the polka dots 3 times (imperfectly) with white ink and then wiped the ink pad around the outside of the kraft panel. The image itself I paper pieced and coloured her skin, boots and flowers with copics. Her dress and hat I paper pieced from the same card stock as the card base. For the white trim I used 'puff paint' for a little bit of texture.

Thanks for coming by :)

Gosh, Sunday rolls around so fast, doesn't it! I don't mind the work week going fast, but I sure wish the weekend would slow down :)

I have some gorgeous cards to share with you today.

Check out the sublime colouring skills of Iwona!  This card is just so WOW! The wonderful image is 'Winter Friend' from Gorjuss.

I have a sweet little tag from Angeline next. She has very cleverly masked this Christmas tree using 'For The Love Of Dots' from Practicing Creativity.

Joy's cards are always amazing and this is another example of her wonderful style. A cute baby card using 'A Little Lovin' from Paper Smooches.

Ange has a lovely Christmas card for us today - aren't those ornaments stunning! All the stamps used on this card are from Hero Arts.

I needed a hello card for a friends daughter - she likes cows, (is that weird?), so this image from Paper Smooches 'Chubby Chums' was perfect.

Remember if you are looking for a challenge, you still have time to enter ours... click on the link located on the sidebar to go to the original post.

Cheers :)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge

Hello and welcome to the new SPARKS Challenge: October 20 - November 2. This is the 1st challenge for the new DT team and it is so exciting!

Isn't this an amazing photo? I made a 4.5' x 4.5' card and took the colours and woodgrain elements as my inspiration. The TV and sentiment both come from 'Boob Tubes'.

To play along just create a NEW project (card, tag, layout, altered item, etc) and use at least one Paper Smooches stamp or free digi.

Go check out the blog and see the rest of the DT projects. You can also find all the details of the challenge on the SPARKS blog, including the wonderful prizes you could win.

Enjoy and have fun.

Wow, what a busy week! Hopefully tomorrow I will have my computer up and running again, fingers crossed :)

The DT have some wonderful cards to share with you today, so lets dive straight in.

Ange has created the cutest card using this adorable stamp from Lawn Fawn called 'Winter Fox'. I love how she stamped that teeny tiny Christmas Tree on the mug.

Love all the embossing on Joy's wonderful Christmas card. She has used Hero Arts 'Merry Christmas Tree' set and finished the card with Honeydew Twine from The Twinery.

Next up, we have a beautiful tag from Angeline using Lawn Fawn's 'Many Thanks' set. I love this sweet sentiment.

How fun is this card by Iwona and how beautifully coloured! This is 'Buccaneer Marci' from La La Land - gorgeous isn't she?

I have also gone with a Christmas theme for my card, with lots of distressing and some misting. The label and sentiment both come from 'Everyday Prints' from Practicing Creativity... I just love this font. The holly leaves are from another set called 'Christmas Wonder', also by Practicing Creativity.

Well I hope your Sunday is wonder, thanks for stopping by :)

Some Cards To Share

I would like to start today with a HUGE thank you to everyone for their sweet comments on yesterdays post... I truly appreciate each and every one of you :)

Righto... just a quick reminder about our current challenge - we would love to have you join us.

And now some cards...

Love this film strip card that Ange created, talk about adorable! All the sweet little images come from 'Halloweenies' by Paper Smooches.

This card uses one of our new images from Sparkle Creations called 'Scooter Chole'. Iwona really does bring these images to life with her wonderful colouring. Just stunning!

Joy has a lovely card using distress inks and pearl paint dabber. The background has been stamped with 'Lotus Bacground' from Hero Arts and the sentiment is from 'Sophie's Sentiments' by Lawn Fawn.

We have another card using Paper Smooches stamps, this one with 'Perpetual Bliss'. Angeline is so creative with her CAS style.

For my card today I have used this pretty little scene, which is a cling stamp from A Muse. Stamps like this make for quick and easy Christmas cards :) I added some distressing around the outside of the card, some glitter to resemble snow and the little bird in the foreground.

Ok, I am off to get crafty takes me FOREVER to make a card, lol. Have a great day.

Boy... the last couple of days have been mixed! My poor computer went 'pop' (literally) and died on Wednesday night... just like that! It was only 3 months old! It is now in the repair shop and I am borrowing hubby's when I can :)

Anyway, I did find some time to practice with my copies and I am happy to say I believe I have improved. This fun image is from Sparkle Creations, the patterned paper is Basic Grey and the card base is Hero Arts.

Would you believe the original layout of the card was quite different, but after I photographed it I noticed a mistake and tried to fix it. Lets just say I had to cut my image with this die cut in order to save what was left of it :) Oh well!

I appreciate you stopping by.

DT Post

Whew!... can you believe it is October already... how scary is that! I hope you all had a wonderful World Card Making Day yesterday - or today, for those of you who are still celebrating :)

I have an amazing line up of cards to share with you all today, my DT team rocks!!!

Angeline's card is so stylish and perfect for mass producing if you are looking for some CAS Christmas card ideas. The sentiment comes from a set called 'Rejoice' and the stripes on the banner strip are from 'Retro Chirstmas' - both from Practicing Creativity.

I just love this card - Ange's colouring is absoulety gorgeous! This stamp is from Sparkle Creations (a new company in the shop) and is called 'Rin with Snowman'.

This next card is classic Joy! Simple elegance. This balloon stamp is another from Practicing Creativity called 'Look Up'.

Iwona amazes me each week with her beautiful colouring and wonderful designs. This gorgeous stamp is of course from La La Land stamps called 'Birthday Marci'. These stamps really are fantastic to practice your copic colouring.

Amazing cards so far right! Each week I feel a little more intimated placing my cards amongst this group, LOL.

This is my third card this week for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge. I focused on the colour scheme again and the baby theme. This set is called 'A Little Lovin'

I really appreciate you stopping by :)
