MOJO?

O Mojo, Mojo! Wherefore art thou Mojo?

I serisoulsy can't believe how hard it is to make cards at the moment (sigh). This one took me two days!! It is for the current Lawnscaping challenge, which is to use paper peicing.

The waves are a die from My Favorite Things. The little fish are from Lawn Fawn's 'Critters in the Sea' and the party hats from 'Hats Off To You'. The sign I hand cut and the sentiment uses 'Harold's ABC's', again from Lawn Fawn.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Perhaps you could leave a little love (and some mojo?)

Too Long...

I know, I have been the worst blogger this week! But... busy + no mojo = no cards and no blogging. Thank goodness my amazing DT have no problems in the mojo area this week :)

Ange has used the lovely Jasmine Silhouette and sentiment from A Muse. I love the ribbon treatment on this card.

This gorgeous embossed leaf image on Joy's card comes from Hero Arts 'Delicate Leaf Clusters' set and the sentiment from the aptly named 'With Sympathy' set.

I did manage to make a card for today (I wont tell you after how many discarded attempts though LOL). This CAS card uses Practicing Creativity's 'You're Dandy' for the clouds and rain drops and I used Lawn Fawn's 'Harold's ABC's' for the sentiment. (The happy is an old Stampin Up stamp).

We have received some amazing entries again this month for our challenge. Why don't you check them out and join in, you still have time. Click the link on the sidebar.

Hopefully I will be back soon :)

Hello There...

So glad you could join me for another Sunday DT post :)

Before we get started, just a reminder about our current challenge - you still have time to enter. You can find the link here, or click on the photo on the side bar.

Lets see what the girls have come up with this week.

Joy has used 'Natures Wonder' from Practicing Creativity to create this elegant sympathy card. This set has some wonderful extra large sentiments, ideal for making your focal point.

Ange has used a number of stamps on her fabulous card. The leaves and flowers are from Practicing Creativity's 'Fall Fest', the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's 'Hello Friend', and she has used Hero Arts 'Plaid Background' on the white cardstock.

My card uses two Lawn Fawn sets. The cute little heart image is from 'My Silly Valentine' and the sentiment is actually 3 seperate words, all from 'Sophie's Sentiments'. The ledger paper is from Jenni Bowlin.

Have a wonderful day.

PS. Check out the shop, new colours from The Twinery have arrived!

Yellow!

Hello friends :)

I am so busy at the moment, but wanted to drop in and share a card that I made.

I have had this yellow cardstock for a while now and didn't really know what to do with it - it is a lot brighter than what I would usually use. Then Joy made this card here and I had one of those a-ha moments.

The yellow flowers are paper pieced.

Supply List:

Stamps: Envelope Pattern, Find Joy, Birds and Branch (all Hero Arts)
Card: Yellow (unknown), kraft (PTI)
Ink: Chocolate (Stampin Up), White (Elzybells)
Other: pearls (coloured with copics)

Thank you for all the wonderful comments you have been leaving recently - I love and appreciate every one of them :)

Sunday Design Team Post

Good morning / afternoon / evening :)

I hope all those lucky people that went to CHA are home and fully recovered from their adventures, or if you are like me and just live viciously through them, I hope you have made plans for the next one!

Just a reminder that you still have plenty of time to enter our current challenge. Make sure you check out the other entries as well - some very talented ladies! (the link is on the sidebar).

I love seeing what Ange and Joy create each week and being inspired by their work. So here we go...

Ange has used the cute mini set from Lawn fawn called 'Fly Free'. This is just the sweetest card.

Joy is using stamps from A Muse, both the flower image and sentiment. Another stunning card.

Here is my card. I am trying something new and have a complete supply list underneath. (I love it when people do this).

Everything on this card (other than the card base) has been made using scraps so I am entering it into Wee Memories latest challenge.

Supply List:

Card: Rustic White (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Other: Tree die (MFT), felt (PTI), heart bling (Hero Arts), patterned paper (Cosmo Cricket), sewing

Have a great day.

Papertrey Anniversary

Hello again.

I have just popped in to quickly share my favorite Papertrey card from the last year. It is Papertrey's 4th Anniversary and Nicole is having a little give away!

I don't have many Papertrey sets yet, but this one uses Merry and Bright Additions.

Happy Anniversary to Nicole and all the team.

Hero Arts

Hello everyone.

I have a card to share today that I made for the current Hero Arts challenge - friendship.

I used my new stamp 'small solid flower' and stamped with distress inks. The 'thank you' part of the sentiment is also Hero Arts, the rest is PTI. Very simple card :)

Check back tomorrow for our DT post and remember to enter the current challenge - just click the link on the sidebar to be taken straight to it.

Cyclone Update

OMG, I have missed you! Well you, my readers and you, the sweet internet!

I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who left comments, sent emails, tweets etc. I really appreciate you thinking of me and my family.

Well, Cyclone Yasi has passed, and I am pleased to say Townsville did not fair too badly. Structural damage to buildings was minimal, but so many trees uprooted. Unfortunately the city (I am sure it is big enough to qualify the name city), lost power and there was also damage to water mains. My power has only just come on... 50 hours without it in a tropical climate... needless to say I/we were starting to smell :)

Needless to say all the food in my fridge and freezer had to be binned :(

Here are a couple of pictures.

This is the new shed at a local school.

What used to be a footpath and someone's fence!

Tree that fell on the neighbours car (blue plastic was put on after as the back window and boot where all smashed).

Hopefully I will be back tomorrow with a card. Take care.
